Rondy Bosch Lodge Is nestled in the outskirts of the historical town of Louis Trichardt, Makhado Municipality.
The area charms visitors with its pristine, picturesque natural beauty and historical value.
The nearest airport to our lodge is Polokwane International Airport, a 99km hour's drive , with scheduled flights to-and-fro Johannesburg.
Beit Bridge Border is a 116km drive up north from our Lodge, making Rondy Bosch a perfect sleepover for people travelling that route.

Ben Lavin Nature Reserve

Manavhela Ben Lavin Nature Reservem, is a nature reserve located a few minutes from Rondy BoschLodge, in Louis Trichardt, Limpopo. The Reserve is about 25 square kilometres (2,500 ha) in area.
While threre are no known dangerous wildlife in the reserve, there are over 20 mammals and some 230 types of bird species, ideal for birdwatchers and nature lovers.
The Reserve is of archaeological importance and contains a series of ruins that date back to 1250 AD.

HANGLIP MOUNTAINPEAK & FOREST

Hanglip (Venda: Songozwi, thavha ya VhaDzanani) is a prominent mountain peak near Louis Trichardt in the central Soutpansberg Mountain Range. The peak with a radar station at 1,719 meters, forms a conspicuous landmark visible from the town and the N1 national road.
Hanglip mountain is situated in the 354 hectare Hanglip Forest Reserve within the Hanglip State Forest.
The Hanglip Forest Reserve is a protected area in the zone of the mountain. Hikers can arrange to overnight in the Hanglip trail hut east of the peak, and motorists can visit a picnic site against its southern slope.

DZATA MUSUEM

The Dzata Ruins are an archaeological site in Dzanani in the Makhado municipality.
Dzata was built at an earlier date than many people are willing to admit. Radiocarbon dates suggests that Dzata was built shortly after AD 1700, with an end some 50 to 60 years later.
Dzata ruins is now one of the national monuments in South Africa.

Arts and Crafts
The town and surrounds are renowned for its multi-cultural population and the highly creative arts and craft they produce. This includes handcrafted paper, pottery, batiks and textiles.

Dams
Those in the area include Albasini and Middle Letaba dams, offering a relaxing day by the water. The overflow of the Twin Dams of the Nwanedi Reserve offers scenic beauty and excellent fishing.

Fort Hendrina
A collapsible fort used in the 1880s as protection for artillery men and mounted police.

Hanklip Picnic Site and Forest
A superb birdwatching site with many trails through scenic wooded countryside boasting trees of worldwide dendrological interest.

Langjan Nature Reserve
Given its red sand dunes and Kalahari veld, this reserve was proclaimed to provide sanctuary for the last remaining herd of gemsbok in the province.

Medike
The site, in the Sand River Gorge, of a series of fascinating San rock artwork including murals and etching.

Memorial Gardens
North of the Civic center are these lovingly manicured gardens commemorating victims of various local and international conflicts.

Scenic Drives
Including the Bluegumspoort Drive on the Soutpansberg and the Witvlag Drive from the town to Piesangshoek.

Schoemansdal Museum
15km west of town, commemorating the pioneering history of the area and the country as a whole. The nearby cemetry includes the grave of the Voortekker leader Andries Potgieter.

Tsonga Textiles
Some of the most creative local textiles designs are on offer here.

Hendrik Verwoerd Tonnels
This historic tunnel has an elevation of 921 metres. The Hendrik Verwoerd Tonnels is situated southwest of Tshikuwi, and is about a 25 minute drive from Rondy Bosch Lodge.

Woodcarvings
The town is known for its enthusiastic woodcarving population and many fine examples can be purchased.
